CAPACITY BUILDING| NDIS

INNOV COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

Activities not included in other community participation registration groups; for mainstream providers that want to allow participants to access mainstream activities.

COMMUNITY NURSING CARE​

This includes providing specialist care to participants with high care needs that require a high degree of ability, as well as educating support personnel to respond to the participant's complicated needs.

EX PHYS PERS TRAINING

Individual advise to a participant regarding exercise required as a result of their impairment. Physical well-being activities promote and encourage physical well-being, such as exercise.

THERAPEUTIC SUPPORT

Assessment, therapy, training, fitting, and any authorized travel to provide assistance. Therapeutic supports are provided to participants aged 7 and up to help them apply their functional skills to improve participation and independence in daily, practical activities such as language and communication, personal care, mobility and movement, interpersonal interactions, and community living.

Assistive listening devices (not hearing aids).

PERSONAL MOBILITY EQUIPMENT

Mobility-enhancing products include walking equipment, wheelchairs, and transfer aids.

VISION EQUIPMENT

Products for navigation and orientation, include braille, guide dogs, magnifiers, and note-taking equipment.

HEARING EQUIPMENT

Assistive listening devices (not hearing aids).

ASSISTIVE PRODUCTS - HOUSEHOLD TASK

Products for cooking, cleaning, washing, house upkeep, and other purposes.

ASSISTIVE EQUIP - RECREATION

Products used in competitive and non-competitive sports and other recreational pursuits.

CUSTOM PROSTHETICS​

Specialist skills are required for the prescription and manufacturing of tailored prostheses or orthoses.

VEHICLE MODIFICATION

Vehicle modification refers to the installation or modification of equipment in a vehicle that allows a participant to travel safely as a passenger or driver.

CORE

ASSIST PRODUCTS-PERS CARE/SAFETY​

Assisting with and/or overseeing personal daily duties to help the participant gain the skills needed to live as independently as feasible. Personal care or safety products, such as beds and pressure mattresses, toilet and bathroom equipment, specialized apparel, and continence needs.

INTERPRET / TRANSLATE

Support is provided to guide, prompt, or carry out activities that ensure the person obtains and/or maintains appropriate lodging. May involve assistance to apply for a rental tenancy or to fulfill tenancy duties.

ACCOMODATION / TENANCY​

upport is provided to guide, prompt or undertake activities to ensure the participant obtains and/or retains appropriate accommodation. May include assisting to apply for a rental tenancy or to undertake tenancy obligations​

ASSIST-TRAVE / TRANSPORT

Includes rental of adapted vehicle.

HOUSEHOLD TASKS

Performing necessary house and/or yard tasks that the participant is unable to do. Essential chores that the participant is unable to undertake: meal preparation and delivery, house or yard upkeep, cleaning, and linen.
