CAPACITY BUILDING

Helping You Grow, Learn & Achieve Your Full Potential

Capacity Building is about more than just support — it is about empowering you with the skills, confidence, and tools you need to lead a more independent and fulfilling life now and into the future.

What is Capacity Building Support?

Capacity Building Supports are a category of NDIS funding specifically designed to help participants develop their skills, increase their independence, and work toward achieving their long-term personal goals. Unlike Core Supports which help with day-to-day needs, Capacity Building is an investment in your future — helping you do more for yourself over time. At Good Doers, our Capacity Building programs are goal-focused, evidence-based, and delivered by qualified professionals who are passionate about helping you reach your potential.

1. Support to Daily Life (Improved Daily Living)

These supports help you develop the skills you need to live more independently at home and in the community. This may include:

• Developing personal care and self-management routines.
• Building household management and cooking skills.
• Financial literacy and budgeting support.
• Planning and organisation skills development.
• Assistive technology training and support.

2. Support for Social & Community Participation

We support you to build the skills and confidence needed to participate actively in community and social activities, including:

• Joining community groups, clubs, and activities.
• Building friendships and support networks.
• Developing communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Finding and Keeping a Job (Employment Support)

Employment is a powerful pathway to independence and self-worth. Our employment capacity building supports include:

4. Improved Health & Wellbeing

Physical and mental wellbeing are foundational to a good quality of life. We support participants to:

• Access exercise physiology, fitness programs, and healthy lifestyle coaching.
• Develop healthy eating habits and nutrition awareness.
• Access mental health support and positive psychology programs.
• Build stress management and emotional regulation skills.

5. Improved Learning

Education opens doors. Our Improved Learning supports help participants to:

• Access mainstream education and training opportunities.
• Develop literacy and numeracy skills.
• Prepare for further study, TAFE, or university.
• Access online learning and digital skills training.

6. Increased Social and Economic Participation

We help participants take steps toward greater social inclusion, economic contribution, and community belonging, supporting them to achieve goals that make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Who Benefits from Capacity Building Supports?

Capacity Building supports are suitable for NDIS participants at all stages of their journey — whether you are just starting out or ready to take your independence to the next level. If you have goals around employment, education, social participation, or independent living, Capacity Building supports can help you get there.
